My oldest daughter moved to Montreal in 2006 to be with her boyfriend.  Now they have a baby, and I’m thrilled to be a grandmother. They’ve invited me to come out for a visit for Christmas. Of course I want to go very badly.

This would be my first trip to Canada and I would need both a passport and, of course, a plane ticket.  Those costs added up to more than $800. Earlier in December the fares are much cheaper, but Christmas week is my only time off from work. I have bad credit and no credit cards, and because of unexpected expenses the last few months my prospects were bleak.

I often drove by the car title loans store on Camino Ruiz by the Miramar Air Station, but I wouldn’t be comfortable going there.  But a car title loan looked like something I could do with my car and I had heard you could do it online.

So next I searched on Google for “about car title loans” and “fast cash” and I found Car Title Loans in San Diego.  I liked what they had to offer.  They said my Kia Sedona was good enough for that $700.  Bingo. Getting this online probably got me my best deal possible.

The online application was very easy. The money was in my checking account the next day.  Two days later, those fares all went up to $900. It was situation where acting fast probably saved me a few hundred dollars – and I have a wonderful holiday (with snow?) to look forward to.
