Car Title Loans in San Diego? How about appliance loans with car?
I bought a Lexus during the good years, when being in real estate was like having a gold mine. Times have changed, which is an understatement. But that Lexus still looks pretty in front of my over-mortgaged house. And it was recently great collateral on a loan that got me a nice, new dishwasher.
The old dishwasher was out of the 1970s, an electricity and water hog. My wife complained about it all the time. I could save money and get some “green peace of mind” with a newer one. But the model I had my eyes on is about $1300. But we have no savings, the credit cards are maxed out (and cut up), and overall bad credit. Gawd, I miss 2005.
But I know a lot of developers, and one in La Jolla told me they were selling off some unused appliances from unsold condos for half price. Brand new, never used, $650. And you had to act fast: cash and carry, the next day. I needed fast cash.
I knew I could find the money, I just had to think about it for 2 minutes. I own the Lexus free and clear, so I went to San Diego Car Title Loans, where they told me I could get up to $10,000 in a title loan. All I needed was $650, so I filled out the online application. That took all of 20 minutes, and I was approved in an hour. The cash landed in my checking account the next morning, so I was able to get the dishwasher.
My wife now thinks I’m going to load the dishwasher after dinner. We’re still negotiating this one.
A car title loans/no credit check was the trick. I now know I have collateral that can help me find other deals when they are there.
