I man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do right? That’s what I always tell my kids. That’s why I can’t look them in the eyes while I don’t have a job. I get up every day and go out to look for work. I blame it on the economy. Deflation could be a potential problem. There is a massive drop in the markets and the next effect is a rise in unemployment. But before major cutbacks in employment the problem is simple that companies will stop hiring. I got laid off as a fluke. The business I worked for went under, a lot of business go under. But now I can’t find a job.

My wife was just going in for a regular checkup. It was supposed to be a physical. Nothing special was expected. Then they found a lump in her breast. They said it was probably nothing. Sometimes breasts are a little unnatural. Then they took a CAT scan and found out that it was cancer. Oh but it wasn’t just a little spot of cancer. It had spread to her whole body. Stomach, lungs, intestines.

So she had to go in for treatments and surgery. She had to go in for quite some time. And she still has to go in. Which is where our problem comes in. It is going to cost money to pay the insurance premiums. Right now I’m low on money. In the contract it says that if I miss a premium I’m pretty much fucked.

It’s funny, ironic that is. My wife never deserved this. But you get what you get, not what you deserve.

I got my guys together one day and I realized we could be making a lot more money than we were. We were working so hard for other people that we hadn’t realized that it was basically our business. The only thing was the other guys were the ones making all the money. We just needed to put our work together and find a job. So we went out and tried.

We did flooring and I could swear to you on the bible that we did good work. We had the best workers around but no one knew about us.
